I know that I am going to heaven when i die no matter what i do for the rest of my life. This is the free gift of eternal life and eternal security that I have received by trusting in the gospel. Jesus Christ shed his blood for my sins on the cross and was resurrected on the third day (1 Cor 15:1-4).
NT commandments 1 John 3:23.
23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
Willful sin is to go back to levitical law and think that we need animal sacrifice even though Jesus Christ has made the final blood sacrifice.
10 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. 2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. 3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
As you can see above in Hebrew 10 they are talking about animal sacrifice and then later below in Hebrew 10:
26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 28 He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29 of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
So the willful sin is to not believe that Jesus blood sacrifice on the cross is enough to save you. Do you see?
Lordship salvation people, those who claim salvation is not by faith alone but by works are doing the willful sin maybe.
And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. 36 But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not. 37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. 38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. 39 And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. 40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6
What is the will of the father well it is that everyone that seeth the Son and believeth on him may have everlasting life.
God and forgiveness
Before the mystery of the cross was revealed: if you forgive you will be forgiven
After the cross Paul says: You have no right to not forgive because you are already forgiven. “because you are already forgiven you have no right to not forgive”.
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. James 2:19 answer: did Jesus die for devils? So why did he say this to them? because he was talking to already saved people who were persecuted basically telling them to do good to those that hate them “audience is generally considered to be Jewish Christians, who were dispersed outside of Palestine due to persecution”
Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. John 6:28-29
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
Means no man can see the lord in you if you don’t behave well.
James was written to already saved people. They were told to do work to be justified towards men not God. You are justified towards God through faith not works.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Mt 24
This has nothing to do with salvation it is about the tribulation period for the ethnic Jews not for the church/body of christ.
So those jews that remain alive when jesus comes back a second time will be saved.
5 Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. 2 cor 13:5
This doesn’t mean examine yourself if you are saved but rather they were suing each other brethren and they had been told to love each other so they were told to examine themselves and see if it is really love to sue someone.
13 There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilæans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. 2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilæans were sinners above all the Galilæans, because they suffered such things? 3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. 4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
This is not talking about eternal salvation its talking about physical death. Repentance for salvation is to turn from whatever you trust in to the acknowledgement of the truth. Jesus was talking about some Galileans who had died in a tower accident. If you love him keep his commandments. Believe on his son, that is how we love God, but believing what he accomplished that is death burial and resurrection gave you remission of all sins and love each other.
What it means to “BELIEVE IN VAIN” OSAS another Jesus another gospel youtube
It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save those that believe. (1 Cor 1:21)
You must have the right Jesus and the right gospel to get the right spirit according to Paul. The Holy spirit of promise with which he keeps us until he comes back.
The right Jesus:
The mormons, the Jehovas witness, the catholics aren’t saved because they have another Jesus. One that didn’t die for everybody, one that requires your works, one that requires you doing a mass offering his blood over and over again every single week.
This we must know about Jesus
He was virgin born.
He was the son of the living God who preexisted as the word, the word became flesh and dwelt among us. John wrote this book I write to you so that you may believe on the son of God and believing you might have life through his name. You don’t have to understand all the prophecies you just have to know that he is who he is, he is God with us, Emanuel, God in the flesh.
He is the I am that spoke to Moses in the burning bush. He is God in the flesh, he is all man and all God.
He died for our sins, was buried and on the third day bodily rose from the dead.
When we put our trust in all of that we have the Holy Spirit, other than that we have believed in vain.
Example of difference between textus receptus that misleads to work salvation is in John 3:36.
36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. KJV
Karl12Bibel
Steps in the christian life (milk, meat):
- When i got saved i trusted Jesus. (You cannot die to self until you trusted the lord to get saved.)
- When i was crucified i died with Jesus (You cannot live the resurrected life for others until you have crucified the sinful flesh.)
- When i was raised i lived for Jesus.
- When i ascended i walked with Jesus (You cannot walk with Jesus unless you have been saved, crucified the sinful lust for others, and is living the resurrected life for others.)
You dont get saved by turning over a new leaf, promising to do better, giving up the world, seasing from committing sin, surrendering to god, nor by making a commitment to christ.
All sins of the world were nailed to the cross, so the only sin that doesn’t take you to heaven is unbelief. Abel offered the blood of the lamb.
More on righteousness.
An unbeliever is defined by their sin but a believer is not because they have the imputed righteousness of Christ.
Four types of soil and salvation. In the parable of the four types of soil in the Bible (Matthew 13:1-23; Mark 4:1-20; Luke 8:1-15). Three of these types of soils, types of believers are saved (rocky, thorns, good soil). The type that is not saved is the one where Satan steals the word that is the seed that falls on the path so that the bird eats it.
1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: 2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 according as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 and to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 and to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. 10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: 11 for so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 1
Those who don’t produce fruit have forgotten that they have been purged from their old sins.
The law is abolished:
14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;15 having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; 16 and that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: 17 and came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. 18 for through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Eph 2
Should we repent from sin?
We should all repent of our sins for fellowship, to be a good witness, to keep the devil from attacking our lives, but never for salvation.
I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. Gal 2:21 KJV
